It’s Official
UCLA called yesterday.
I’m on the lung transplant waiting list.
Random synapse-firings about and from the author of Howard the Duck, Omega the Unknown, Thundarr the Barbarian, and untold suffering for friends and family alike.

Great news!
I don’t pray, but whatever good thoughts and affirmations a pagan Unitarian Universalist can muster, you’ll be in them.
All the best,

I used to read HTD backissues when they wern’t worth as much in the CBG and really liked your work when I was old enough to appreciate it. I was also really behind Destroyer Duck as well ’cause, well, I was a supporter of Kirby’s rights as well as creator’s rights in general. Now I hear that you’re waiting for a transplant. Life is heavy, but it’s the same all over these days. I have a friend waiting for a kidney who’s stuck on dialysis. I hope the best for him as well.
Kind thoughts to you, Steve. I hope you’re at the top of the list very soon.
Peace, Shalom and all that jazz
