I’ve also heard attempts to propagate the spurious meme that it’s somehow hypocritical for Senators Clinton and Schumer to object to Rove’s comments…because they may be Democrats but are not liberals, and “Rove was only talking about liberals.” That bastard understands the implications of everything that comes out of his mouth, and is quite capable of being as precise as he wishes to be. Using the word “liberals” is of course code, as it has been since at least the Reagan administration, for anyone the administration deems insufficiently patriotic.
